Shipley Speedwatch scheme

The Shipley Speedwatch team has been in existence for over 5 years. Regrettably, the initial enthusiasm from the small group of team members gradually waned. Despite repeated requests asking residents to join the scheme (particularly following any complaints of speeding), the Speedwatch team has remained dormant for the past couple of years as no new members have come forward.

At the Parish Council meeting held on 1st September 2026, several Coolham residents expressed an interest in joining the Speedwatch scheme. Details on how to apply can be addressed to the parish clerk at [email protected].

Full training will be given to new applicants who would first need to pass a Sussex Police online course.
