The Parish Council is working with Horsham District Council to coordinate the volunteer response to the current COV-19 epidemic.

People have been able to volunteer to help with our Community Hub via Horsham District Council or our Shipley Community Facebook page and volunteers are now in the process of being assigned a road that they will each own.  Many of you may already have received a card through your door with your dedicated volunteers’ details, should support be required.  Each volunteer has also been provided with a formal ID card from Horsham District Council so that you can be confident that they are who they say they are, a set of clear instructions and a face mask.  If you are at all worried about the identity of your volunteer, you can, of course, contact the Back-up Hub team on 07786 693000 for confirmation.

Whilst the response has been fantastic so far with many of you taking up the call to arms to become volunteers, you can still volunteer via Horsham District Council’s website www.horsham.gov.uk/community/coronavirus-community-support or by emailing the Hub Back-up team directly at info@HorshamShipleyCommunityProject.org. You can also use these links to register if you or someone you know may be vulnerable at this time and could benefit from support. If you are set-up on Facebook, please also join the Shipley Self-Isolation Group, which is attached to the Shipley Parish Facebook page where you can find updates and information.
